Moving to Pownce?

I’m not much of a Twitterer (Twit? Yes.), but I see a mass migration moving from Twitter to Pownce this weekend, and Gene was the main culprit. A couple of people started it, and now everyone’s headed over. It’s so interesting to me when these things reach their tipping point, and this is the clearest one I’ve experienced yet.

So now I’m giving Pownce a try. If you come over, here I am.

Common questions about RSS.

I have had a few people tell me recently that they check out my blog, but don’t subscribe to my RSS feed because they don’t quite get what RSS is.
It’s a common problem. RSS is one of those things that’s easy once you try it, but is hard to explain.
And so, I refer you to the following video by the amazing people at Common Craft. If you ever run across a social media concept that you don’t understand, keep Common Craft in mind because they produce these helpful, simple videos that explain sometimes complex solutions.
Watch and enjoy!

By the way, this clip can be found here.

For credit union employees on LinkedIn.

I’ll be honest with you, I am not quite sure what to do with LinkedIn groups. LinkedIn started this service a little while back, and I thought it would be cool to create a group for all credit union employees on LinkedIn. But then I wondered if I was the right person to create such a group.

So I passed the idea to my friend and EverythingCU marvel, Morriss Partee. Morriss went ahead and started the group.

I’m not sure where it will go, but if you’re a CU staff member who uses LinkedIn, go ahead and invite yourself to this group and let’s see what develops.

And if anyone has any thoughts as to where it can evolve, let Morriss or myself know (and if anyone wants to create a little icon for the group, that would cool too!).
