I’m the CEO of Brightside Community Homes Foundation, an organization dedicated to making housing accessible for those who struggle to meet the demands of market housing in Vancouver, one of the most unaffordable cities on the planet. My team ensures that our 1,000+ residents have safe, stable and appropriate housing, while developing new homes to meet the pressing need in the community.

I released my first book, Everything I Learned About Leadership I Learned From Filmmaking, an exploration of the similarities, overlaps and parallels between the art and craft of making films and the practice of leading people and organizations. You can learn more and see where you can buy it here.

I was a long-time executive at Vancity, performing multiple leadership roles at the community-focused credit union serving the financial needs of their half million member-owners and the communities where they live and work. Prior to Vancity, my background was in digital production and, before that, independent filmmaking.

I’m Chair of the Board of the BC Non-Profit Housing Association the provincial umbrella organization for the non-profit housing sector, and of Community Housing Coverage the new insurance initiative by and for the community housing sector in BC. I am also the former board chair of Modo Co-operative and the Vancity Community Foundation.
